With help from Bob at Router Technologies the Router Raizer was easy to install in my existing plate and works great. I am using a Dewalt DW625 router and this set up works perfectly.
The best of all is the customer service provided by Bob at Router Technologies. I highly recomend both the Router Raizer and the Xtreme Extension.
I have been looking for a router lift for my existing router plate for some time. I am able to easily change bits above the table without a wrench.
Any questions or problems you have are answered quickly. My plate is 8" X 11" and there are no other router lifts this size I could find.
I also purchased the Xtreme Extension made by Router Technologies.
I bought a Woodpeck lift instead and sold the Raizer on ebay. After purchasing this item, reading the instructions completely and understanding them I decided I didnt want to screw up my router with drilling it out etc.
He took one look and had one installed in less than 15 minutes. The adjustmets are smooth and percise.
If your looking to add percision to your plunge base for free hand routing install one. The router raizer is defentially the way to take full advantage of a router table.
I called the owner to ask if it would work in a Ridgid R2900 plunge base router. It works perfect in or out of the router table.
I would give it 10 stars if I could Bob said he had never fitted a Ridgid and invited me to his shop to investigate.
Talk about great customer service.
Good instructions. I think now that I have done one I could do the same intall in about 20 mins. The RR RZ100 works just fine. It took me about 1 hour to complete the intallation.
1).Make sure you have the proper tools to install the raizer and 2).don't be an idiot like me and vacuum up the table after use without first removing the dust cover. I have to agree with another reviewer about including a sample size of STP since it is the only lubricant recommended. Two bits of advice. Thankfully there were extras. Got my Router Raizer the other day and immediately proceded to install it. I didn't have one of the name brand routers it claims it's designed for, but my installation was identical to the Makita router.
